Starting early is the single biggest advantage for admission and scholarships.
Common questions
What documents do I need?
A passport, a 3x4 photo, your diploma or an expected-graduation form, a 3-year transcript, a recommendation letter, and IELTS. Some programs also ask for the SAT.
I have a gap year, or I am older. Is that a problem?
Apply as early as you can. Under 25 is smoother for undergraduate study, and at any age you should show clearly how you used the time.
When should I learn Japanese?
After you receive an acceptance. Until then, focus on the application and on winning a scholarship.
Who can be my sponsor?
Ideally a parent, with a bank statement showing around $20,000. A sponsor who is not a parent can increase the risk of a visa refusal, so ask MAEDA first.
Can I transfer to a top university later?
Transfer slots are rare, so it is usually stronger to apply as a freshman.
Do you apply for me?
No. MAEDA guides, teaches, and reviews every step. You submit the application yourself, and we make sure it is as strong as possible.
